Navotas City Hospital Inauguration and Blessing November 21, 2014

The Navotas City hospital was inaugurated and blessed last November 21, 2014. It is the first hospital that is located in Navotas, and it will serve the needs of the local residents and the surrounding communities.

The healthcare needs of the Navotenos will be served by the nine barangay health centers, and by the Navotas City hospital.

Coordination of care, and sharing of patient medical records between the health centers and the hospital will be facilitated through the use of Information Technology systems. The Navotas City hospital will implement GNU Health, the Open Source Hospital Information System, Health Information System, and Electronic Medical Record System built by Dr. Luis Falcon, founder of GNU Solidario. GNU Solidario is an Non-for-profit organization that works globally, delivering health and education with free software.

The City of Navotas has unofficially engaged Integrated Open Source Solutions, headed by Mr. Joe Gene Quesada, its founder and president. iOSS is an official service partner of GNU Health. iOSS will localize, customize, implement, and maintain GNU Health for the Navotas City Hospital.
